This week, senior negotiators from Britain, France, Germany, China, Russia, the US and Iran convened in Vienna in order to develop an agenda for reaching an ambitious final settlement to the decade-old standoff over Tehran's nuclear program.

Following the talks with Iran in Vienna, February 20, 2014, PN Member Tarja Cronberg MEP, Chair of the European Parliament's Iran delegation, concludes:

"I welcome the conclusions of the nuclear talks in Vienna. These are the first nuclear negotiations since the adoption of the Joint Action Plan. It is encouraging that the timetable for the next talks is set. The window of opportunity with Iran is very fragile and it is very important to keep moving steadily towards the final agreement in July. "

PN Member Tarja Cronberg MEP is a member of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee and its subcommittee Security and Defence, and Chair of the Iran delegation.
