Elmar Brok Issues Statement on the Killing of Camp Ashraf Residents

PN Member and Chair of the European Union's Foreign Affairs Committe, Elmar Brok issued a statement in response to the killings of Camp Ashraf residents in Iraq. 

"I deplore the tragic loss of life of residents of Camp Ashraf and call on the Iraqi Government and the responsible Iraqi authorities to shed full light on the circumstances of the death of the residents and to bring to justice those responsible. The inquiry must be swift and thorough and assign clear responsibilities.

I also call on the Government of Iraq to do its utmost to adequately protect the residents of Camp Ashraf and support the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq for their continued efforts in assisting and supporting the residents of Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty, as the relocation process continues."
