Developing an Afghanistan Center for Dispute Resolution

PN member Ramazan Jumazada participated in a two-day consultation workshop on the development of an Afghanistan Center for Dispute Resolution (ACDR) at the Bahrain Chamber of Dispute Resolution from May 7 to 8, in Manama, Bahrain.

This workshop was sponsored and organized by the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce in close collaboration with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and the International Dispute Resolution Center (ICDR).

The establishment of the ACDR – the first organization of its kind in Afghanistan – was jointly initiated by the American Arbitration Association and Harakat, an Afghan organization that aims to improve the country’s business environment.
