LaTonya Johnson has been a Wisconsin State Representative since 2012. She is a Financial Employment Planner for Wisconsin Shares, member of the Special Committee on Public Assistance Program Integrity and of the drafting committee for the Wisconsin Shares Subsidy Policy Guide.

Prior to her election, she owned and operated Anointed Child Care Service, a licensed family care facility in Milwaukee.

LaTonya Johnson has been serving as Executive Board member for District Council 48 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), as President of AFSCME Local 502 Milwaukee Child Care Providers Together, and as Chair of AFSCME's Women Committee.

LaTonya Johnson holds a B.S. degree in criminal justice from Tennessee State University.
