Bio:
Dr. Oshita O. Oshita is the Director-General of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR), Abuja, Nigeria. He belongs to many professional associations, including the British International Studies Association (BISA), the Network for African Peace-builders, Nigerian Philosophical Association, and he is 2nd Vice-President of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP), Nigeria.
His current research interests are in peace-building, the nexus of peace-security-conflict and development, resource conflicts, systems design for conflict prevention, conflict-sensitive planning and policy programming.
He has lectured in various universities in Nigeria and overseas. He is a professional trainer and enjoys training and facilitating workshops.
Dr. Oshita has been serving on the Federal House of Representatives of Nigeria from 1992 to 1993.
