Bio: 

Mr. Evans spent 21 years in Australian politics, 13 of them as a Cabinet Minister. As Foreign Minister he was best known internationally for his role in developing the UN peace plan for Cambodia, helping conclude the Chemical Weapons Convention, and helping initiate the new Asia Pacific regional economic and security architecture. From 2000 to 2009, he served as President of the Brussels-based International Crisis Group. Since January 2010, Mr. Evans has been Chancellor of the Australian National University.
