PN Member Michael Gahler MEP to Speak on Global Partnerships and Germany’s Role in World Politics Panel

PN Member Mr. Michael Gahler MEP will give the key note speech and take part in a panel on Global Partnerships and Germany’s Role in World Politics in Brussels hosted by the Hanns Seidel Foundation. Mr. Gahler is the European People's Party Speaker on Security and Defence and a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

The event will address questions such as: What are the specific expectations for Germany in the context of the NATO-alliance? What are the commitments that the Federal Republic is prepared to meet? Is there a discrepancy between the demands on the political level and sentiments of the population’s majority in Germany, which is not in favour of more global military and security engagement?
