PN Member Jafar Shah, confronted the issue of selling of “weapon toys” openly in the Pakistani Market. First raising the concern to his local parliament of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, Shah has started pressing for immediate legislation in this area. Urging for a strict ban on the selling of toys shaped as weapons, Shah feels that statistics show a direct correlation between the usage of these toys and the promotion of violence amongst children and teenagers. Demanding that this issue be brought to the forefront of the legislative body, Shah has continued to follow this issue by talking to governmental officials on placing the ban. The government on floor of the assembly agreed to the proposal and assured the house to make legislation soon.
