PN Member Tevan Poghosyan Participates in NATO Seminar in Baku

Together with the head of the Armenian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Koryun Nahapetyan, PN member Tevan Poghosyan is participation in NATO's Parliamentary Assembly's Rose-Roth Seminar, taking placing in Baku on June 16-18, 2014.

"We have received relevant security guarantees from the Azeri side," Nahapetyan told reporters.

The three days seminar will focus, amongst others, on the Nagarno Karabakh conflict.

The seminar is part of the Rose-Roth program of co-operation with the parliaments of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The program was initiated in 1990 by then President of the Assembly Congressman Charlie Rose and Senator Bill Roth in order to assist partner countries in Central and Eastern Europe through their challenging transition process to democracy after the fall of the Berlin wall. Today, the program aims to enhance parliamentary awareness, build contacts and provide experience and expertise. Three to four seminars are held per year.
