Meg Munn MP Visits EWI Brussels

On 14 November 2012, Ms. Meg Munn, MP in the United Kingdom visited the EastWest Institute Brussel’s Center and had a meeting with Ambassador Dr. Beate Meader-Metcalf, Vice-President and Director of the Regional Security Program, and with Ms. Agnes Venema, Program Coordinator for the Parliamentarians Network for Conflict Prevention. They discussed the outcomes of the Worldwide Security Conference (WSC9) which Ms. Munn attended, and discussed conflict prevention issues which were brought up at the conference.

The visit was held on the eve of the 5th anniversary of the Network and was also geared towards getting a better understanding of members’ individual interests and areas of expertise. By doing so, the Parliamentarians Network for Conflict Prevention wishes to better integrate the knowledge available within the Network, by mapping out skills and needs.
