With the EU widely attacked for lacking a common purpose and a clear vision, the Security & Defence Agenda has brought together a variety of voices from Europe’s defence sector in a comprehensive and hard-hitting discussion paper. The paper gives food for though ahead of December European Council and presents stakeholders' concrete ideas on the future of European defence.

The paper includes contributions by Pieter De Crem, Belgium Defence Minister, Pedro de Morenés y Álvarez de Eulate, Spanish Defence Minister, Thomas de Maizière, German Defence Minister, Karin Enström, Swedish Defence Minister and Mario Mauro, Italian Defence Minister, Michel Barnier, Commissioner for Internal Market and Services, European Commission and Claude-France Arnould, Chief Executive of the European Defence Agency.

The launch of the discussion paper will be hosted by PN Member Michael Gahler, Member of the European Parliament and moderated by Giles Merritt, Director of the Security & Defence Agenda.
