PN Member Oshita Oshita Appointed Director-General of Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution

On Monday, August 18, PN Member Dr. Oshita Oshita was appointed to the position of Director-General of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) in Abuja, Nigeria by Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan. 

Dr. Oshita was formerly the Director of Research and Policy Analysis at IPCR before replacing DG Dr. Joseph Golwa, whose tenure officially ended on August 24. 

Dr. Oshita belongs to many professional associations, including the British International Studies Association (BISA), the Network for African Peace-builders, Nigerian Philosophical Association, and he is 2nd Vice-President of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP), Nigeria. He holds the Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (2nd Class Upper), MA Philosophy, Post-Graduate Diploma in Environmental Education, MA in Conflict Resolution, and a PhD in the Philosophy of Social Science. 

He served on the Federal House of Representatives of Nigeria from 1992 to 1993.
